St. George’s Soup Kitchen

Parishioners from Emmanuel Church volunteer several Sundays through out the year for the Soup Kitchen at St. George’s in Central Falls. If you would like to to find out more contact Judy Emmett or the office 658-1506.

St. James Food Pantry Collection

Emmanuel Church is collecting donations to benefit the Prescott Beach Food Bank at St. James Episcopal Church in Woonsocket. Collection baskets are located in the narthex and in the Parish hall. The collection will be delivered to St. James at the end of the month. If you have any questions, please call the Parish office at 658-1506.

  • July, January - Dried and canned soups
  • August, February - Pasta & Sauces
  • September, March - Cereal
  • October, April - Paper products
  • November, May - Baked beans
  • December, June - Peanut butter & jelly

The Prescott Beach Food Bank 24 Hamlet Ave. (rear), Woonsocket is an emergency food pantry open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. They are an all-volunteer food pantry which distributes food for 3 (three) days to persons submitting a voucher from Family Resources, Inc. or with a referral (note or phone call) from area clergy or area governmental or private non-profit agencies. They are veteran members of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and have in operation for over 20 years; They distribute food to over 3,000 persons annually.

Episcopal Charities:

Emmanuel participates in the Episcopal Charities of Rhode Island annual campaign. A chair is appointed to oversee the activities of the campaign and Emmanuel
