The Brown Bag Ministry is not a new ministry at Emmanuel, but a refreshed way of how we do our collections for St. James Food Pantry. Busy families hustle out to church on Sunday mornings, often times forgetting to grab a food item to place in one of our collection baskets. The Brown Bag Ministry is intended to serve as a visual reminder for folks to fill over a week or a few weeks time. Once the bag is full, it can be brought to church to be placed in one of our two collection baskets. That simple! Bags are always available in the Narthex or parish hall right near the doors.
A big thank you to Dave’s Marketplace for supplying the brown bags!
